Red Bull Music Academy 2008
The Red Bull Music Academy is an event that travels the world. A yearly
celebration of all the journeys and breakthroughs, all the dreams and
intricacies that go into the music we love. For two weeks, the lucky chosen
participants will be checking gear, chatting on tunes, and spinning in
clubs, while getting a rare glimpse into local musical hybrids in a
different country. Inbetween times, they will be talking to people from
around the world who started revolutions in sound. They're the people we
look up to, and they're looking to you for a fresh perspective in turn.
Bassdivision have limited amounts of entry forms instore for any up &
coming producer or dj who feels that they may have what it takes to qualify

Division Music ready to take on the world

After months in the planning stages Bassdivision's next step into the
record label world is finally almost ready to launch itself onto the
unsuspecting music loving public.
The Bassdivision team have a long standing track record with previous
labels like Mixmaster, Red 'N' Raw, Shine Recordings, Masterstroke etc all
proving very successful in their own rights.
Any budding producers out there with demo's that they wish to submit

2008 N.I Dance Music Awards
 
2008 is shaping up to be the biggest event in the history of the awards.
This years event is to be hosted to 2,500 people at so far, what is a
secret location. We'll be feeding the full mouth watering information to
you in the coming weeks, so be sure to keep an eye on up&coming
Bassdivision mails.
 
As always, tickets for the event which this year shall be fully open to
the public for the awards ceremony as well shall be on sale very soon from Bassdivision

Showtek are to Hardstyle what David Beckham is to advertising agents! They have built a massive worldwide following on the rapidly growing Hardstyle scene. Their new mix cd is due into stock @ Bassdivision next week.
 
The Return Of The Mixtape

Yes, they're back folks!..not in cassette form though, so you won't have the worry of your Decca tape player chewing up your prized dj mix. Local DJs from local clubs are very much back in vogue and highly
requested by customers @ Bassdivision.
We have now taken the hint and are starting to gradually build our
collection of local dj mixes for sale instore.
We now welcome any local dj's with solid mixes to make themselves be known to us and if they are up to scratch we shall take them onboard for sale in our store.
For obvious reasons there is still a certain criteria that has to be met,
so the better your mix the better chance of it going on sale.

Fancy yourself as a radio DJ?

New radio station Juice FM in conjunction with Bassdivision are currently
putting together the schedule for up & coming programming.
Styles will be across the board of dance music from downtempo / chillout &
lounge through to hardstyle & hardcore. The station will be live 24 hours a day 7 days a week and fully directed at the dance music market.
This is something that has been severely lacking in our country for a long long time.
 
Any dj's out there that like the idea of having their own weekly show on
the station should contact gary@bassdivision.com with a brief rundown of who they are and anywhere they have previously played.
 
DJ Demo of the month

Thanks to long standing customer Jonny Mc Cann for one of the nicest mixes we have heard in a while. Proving that a DJ can be minimal without going up his own ass...respect is due to this guy. Keep a watch out for copies going on sale in Bassdivision very very soon!

Concept promotions is one of Ireland's most rapidly expanding dance music footprints and home to one of Ireland’s leading hard dance & hardstyle DJs and promoters, L.E.D.

This pint sized juggernaut launched himself onto the international Hard Dance scene in 1999, with his first hit; “Frantic Theme (Get A Life You Drug Addicts)”, which went on to sell a staggering 27,000 copies. Since then he’s been responsible for over 125 productions and remixes which have sold in excess of 400,000 singles worldwide and appeared on over 2,000,000 compilation units!

Mr.Bishi, Neon Lights, Masif DJ’s, Nylon, Kumara and Zander are just some of the numerous guises he has recorded under.

Nicknamed the “King Of Euphoric Hard Dance” by Ed Real, and “Mr Hard House Academy” by Frantic promoter Will Patterson, Steve Hill is a true leader of the melodic movement in Hard Dance.

There aren’t many places Steve Hill hasn’t left his mark, continually jetsetting across the globe performing at the most prestigious parties on the planet including Dance Valley in Holland, Hard House Academy in London, Chemistry in Auckland, Transmission in Sydney as well as playing at the best clubs on the international circuit.

His sets are explosive and have won him ‘best set of the year’ awards on numerous occasions on websites around the globe including harderfaster.net and energyuk.net.

Owner of Masif Recordings, Y2K, VW Records and his new imprint, S-Trax, his record empire is building at an exponential rate. The Masif Organisation is involved with numerous artists and parties around the globe!

Hill is also responsible for the biggest Hard Dance album in Hard Dance history, spanning over 60 tracks on 3 CD’s! In 2007, he also became the most prolific artist in Hard Dance history by making over 50 productions for commercial release in one year!
